Lonely Planet - Internal Concept Development

Objective

Come up with engaging interactive widgets that can live on Lonely Planet’s destination pages as a compliment to the content already on the pages.

Solution

The concept is to run a campaign around an event (Tour De France) where the users could view event updates, including photos, videos, and information about things to do in nearby cities/areas along the Tour de France route. Tour de France was used as an example, but the idea could be applied to any major sporting event (The Olympics, The World Cup, auto racing tours, etc.)
